In 1925, W.W. Callan had three years of experience working for a warehouse company and decided to go into business for himself. He called his company Central Forwarding, Inc. and started his one-truck operation on the corner of 13th and Mary Street in Waco, Texas.

The Central general office and the Waco branch operation continued at that location for 59 years until 1984, when both were relocated to a new office and warehouse building on Loop 340 in Waco. Since 1925, Central has steadily progressed and expanded.

In the late 1980's, the corporate name was changed from Central Forwarding, Inc., to Central Transportation Systems, Inc., to more accurately describe the services we provide.

Today we are an employee-owned company and have offices in many Texas cities and offer services across the nation and the world. Having grown into one of the major moving and storage companies in the Southwest, we have retained our original philosophy and a basic sense of friendly Texas cooperation.
